Attached those things I do not know the name of. The gap will eventually be covered with plywood. The front of the boat from stem to station #2 will be fully covered, therefore these things reach only up to station #2.
Seems like it's all coming togerher! Good luck to you I am building Petrel myself, but i made bow little differently. but overall you are a little ahead from me.

Hey Kristo, exciting to hear that somebody else is doing the same crazy stuff so near, one might say next door. I saw on the video you were basically struggling with the same thing - free online plans not corresponding to the real life ;) Do you only varnish the outside? No glass? What thickness plywood did you use?
Well i have had quite many brainstorms :D i covered with epoxy before winter and snow, so the weather doesn't ruin anything ( but it did inside ), when weather is warmer again i plan covering with 1 or 2 layer glasscloth, whole bottom, and i used 9mm humidity-proof plywood.
Looking great...
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work!
I see you have a homebuilt aircraft project in progress as well. May I ask what design it is?
